The FIFPRO World 11, recognized by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Professional Players' Association, honors the year's top male and female footballers. Initially known as the FIFPRO World 11, this accolade was established in 2005 to celebrate the finest footballers as chosen by their peers. In 2009, a collaboration with FIFA led to the renaming of the award to the "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," also known as the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining the original voting system. As of 2024, FIFPRO will independently oversee the award, reverting to its original title: the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year, chosen through ballots cast by professional players worldwide, stands as the sole global accolade in football entirely determined by the players themselves. The eligibility for the award is based on performances from August 4, 2025, to July 19, 2026, with a minimum requirement of participation in 30 official matches during this period.
The final lineup of eleven players will consist of one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, with the remaining spot going to the non-goalkeeper player who secures the highest number of votes.
